Tennis

One of my recent WTA 1000 commentary matches: the injury-shortened quarterfinal between Paula Badosa and
Karolina Pliskova at the 2021 Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati. (Co-commentary by Melanie South.)

I am currently providing world feed commentary on WTA tennis tournaments, calling an average of 2-3 women's singles matches per day on a given featured court. For example, in August 2020 I called the Serena Williams vs. Venus Williams match at the Top Seed Open in Lexington, KY - the first American tennis tournament following the COVID-19 lockdown:

Williams vs. Williams, 13 August 2020 - full match

Williams vs. Williams, 13 August 2020 - official highlights

I have also covered a wide range of men's tournaments at ATP 1000 level as well. (I've removed the below videos from this site by request of the ATP Tour, but they are each available on request.) A good sample of my ATP commentary work is the second half of the dramatic second-round match at the 2019 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells between Stan Wawrinka and Marton Fucsovics, beginning at 3-3 in the second set:

I've commentated on everyone from Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray to Aryna Sabalenka and Jo Konta, and I've experienced many late nights, rain delays and different types of match situations across numerous clay and hard court tournaments:

2019 Italian Open, Gasquet v Chardy: 3rd set, complete (including intro and outro - delayed from previous night)

2019 Miami Open, Tiafoe v Goffin: 2nd set, with Tiafoe up a set and a break (but with rain in the air...)

2018 Madrid Open, Thiem v Ćorić: end of 2nd set (starting with Ćorić serving, up a set at 6-2, 3-4)

On the back of my tennis commentary work, I also agreed a deal to provide commentary for "Tennis Elbow 4", the new edition of the popular indie tennis video game which is currently scheduled to be published in 2023 for PCs and then on PlayStation and Xbox thereafter as well. I have written scripts and recorded voiceovers for thousands of commentary snippets myself; more information about my contribution to this project can be found on the Mana Games discussion forums.
